Our story
Baked with heart in Kingston
Akaisiba began in 2017 in Avery Barnett’s kitchen, with a love for sweet treats and an even bigger love for watching people enjoy them.
It started with an oven that had a broken thermostat and more than a few burnt batches. Every trial taught us something, and today Akaisiba is a specialty bakery known for cheesecake delights, Swiss rolls, bread pudding and more, all baked to order.
Giving back is part of the recipe. We’ve proudly raised funds for the Food and Nutrition Laboratory at the Immaculate Conception High School in Kingston, and we look forward to supporting more local causes.
